Jacob Trusty grew up in the turf world-starting his mowing career at just 9 years old in his family's lawncare business. He's held several roles over the years, but his true passion is marketing and media. Jake has been a huge asset to KYSFMA, playing a key role in getting our website launched and helping shape our brand.

Deanna’s leadership and dedication have been instrumental in successfully launching KYSFMA. We wouldn’t be as far along without her guidance and her commitment to getting the association restarted in the Commonwealth. She has a clear plan for our success and is making sure we are prepared to grow alongside the state’s needs.

In addition to her work with KYSFMA, Deanna oversees the Independence Soccer Club and Edgewood Soccer Club, managing both in a park setting with exceptional care and professionalism.

Nate Dotson is the groundskeeper for the Henderson County High School softball field, and his dedication shows in every blade of grass. He consistently maintains the Lady Colonel Softball Field at an exceptional, high-performance level with player safety always at the forefront. The field features a Bermuda grass base overseeded with perennial ryegrass, and Nate’s expertise ensures it stays in top condition year-round.

The Kentucky Sports Fields Management Association (KYSFMA) is dedicated to advancing the professionalism, knowledge, and sustainability of sports turf management across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Through education, collaboration, and community engagement, KYSFMA supports safe, high-quality playing surfaces for athletes of all levels while promoting responsible environmental stewardship and professional growth for field managers statewide.
